The Asian Poker Tour (APT) has announced the cancellation of APT Manila 2025, which was originally scheduled from May 30 to June 8, 2025, at the City of Dreams Manila. The APT expressed regret over the decision but did not provide specific reasons for the cancellation.
Despite the cancellation in Manila, the APT has a series of upcoming events across Asia:
-
APT Taipei 2025: Scheduled from April 25 to May 4, 2025, in Taipei, Taiwan, featuring a Main Event with a guaranteed prize pool of TWD 70 million (approximately US$2.1 million).
-
APT Incheon 2025: Set for August 1 to 10, 2025, at the Paradise Hotel & Resort in Incheon, South Korea. The Main Event has a buy-in of KRW 2.5 million (about US$1,706) and a guaranteed prize pool of KRW 1.5 billion (around US$1 million).
-
APT Jeju 2025: Planned for September 26 to October 5, 2025, at Jeju Shinhwa World in Jeju, South Korea. The Main Event features a buy-in of KRW 2.6 million (approximately US$1,775) and a guaranteed prize pool of KRW 2.2 billion (about US$1.5 million).
-
APT Championship 2025 (APTC): The season will conclude with this event from November 14 to 30, 2025, at the newly opened Red Space venue in central Taipei. The APTC Main Event boasts a record-breaking guaranteed prize pool of TWD 165 million (approximately US$5 million), the largest in the tour's history.
While the cancellation of APT Manila 2025 is disappointing for the poker community, these upcoming events offer ample opportunities for players to engage in high-stakes competition across the region. Participants are encouraged to adjust their plans accordingly and stay updated through official APT channels for any further announcements.
