The Phnom Penh-based integrated resort operator NagaWorld has been awarded the prestigious Great Place To Work® Certification™, achieving an exceptional Trust Index score of 95 % based entirely on anonymous employee feedback.
This recognition places NagaWorld well above the typical global average of around 50 % for companies of similar size and context, signalling strong employee trust in leadership, culture and workplace conditions (the figure of 95 % is cited by both the PR release and the Great Place To Work database).
NagaWorld’s CEO, Chen Yiy Fon, stated that the certification reflects the collective spirit of the company’s “Naga family”, emphasising their commitment to a “people-first” strategy that places employees at the heart of the business journey. The company highlighted four strategic pillars underpinning this culture: “Start with Us”, “Grow with Us”, “Engage with Us”, and “Stay with Us”. These pillars are supported by key initiatives such as over 205,000 hours of employee training in 2024, the launch of a “Leadership Series 2.0” executive development programme, the creation of a mobile “MyPortal” app to enhance internal communications and learning, and a gender-balance of 50.2 % women overall and 33 % in managerial roles.

In the context of the Cambodia hospitality and leisure sector, this certification is significant. NagaWorld is one of the largest private employers in Cambodia, operating the country’s first integrated hotel-entertainment complex and holding a long-term casino licence. By achieving such a high trust score, NagaWorld not only enhances its employer branding but also positions itself favourably in talent attraction and retention, which is especially important in a region where workforce competition is intensifying.
Nevertheless, as independent employee reviews show, there are still areas for continued improvement. On platforms such as Indeed, NagaWorld averages around 4.0 out of 5 stars, with positive ratings for pay and benefits but some concerns in areas such as work-life balance and clarity of management structure. Therefore, while the 95 % Trust Index score is a strong signal of positive culture, the company should continue to monitor and act on feedback around management transparency, career progression and work-life policies to maintain momentum.
