The 5th Macau-Qingdao International Beer Carnival kicked off on 6 November 2025 at the Gourmet Pavilion of Wynn Palace in Cotai. Spanning 11 days and running through to 16 November, the event is organised by Asia Brewery (Macau) Co. Ltd., Wynn Resorts (Macau) S.A., and the Macau Leisure Tourism Services Innovation Association, with support from the governments of Macau and Qingdao.

The carnival’s theme, “Ola Macau! Hajiu Qingdao!”, underscores the cultural and tourism-trade ties between Macau and Qingdao. It features not only a wide range of beer products—including the Macau debut of the sugar-free “Tsingtao Extra Light”—but also food and beverage activations, live music, DJ sets and interactive entertainment designed to attract both tourists and locals.

Officiating guests at the launch ceremony included high-level representatives from both sides: from Macau’s tourism office to Qingdao’s municipal committee, highlighting the event’s role in deepening bilateral cultural and economic engagement. The organisers said the carnival is part of the broader strategy to boost Macau’s festival economy by integrating gastronomy, tourism and entertainment, and positioning Macau as a world-class destination beyond gaming.

By leveraging the premium setting of Wynn Palace and combining high-end F&B with large-scale festival dynamics, the carnival aims to extend visitor stays, increase non-gaming spend and strengthen Macau’s appeal to more diverse tourism segments.
