Crown Perth has embarked on its most ambitious upgrade in nearly a decade with the unveiling of the Urban Food District—a multifaceted dining and entertainment precinct poised to redefine the resort experience on Bolton Avenue. Spearheaded by CEO Brian Pereira, this A$ multi-million phase marks a turning point in Crown’s strategy to elevate its non-gaming offerings and attract both local residents and event-goers alike.

Set across more than 2,000 m², the precinct will feature over a dozen outlets, including three vibrant bars, a beer garden, and a hidden speakeasy—all flanked by a high-end international food hall boasting a lineup of global street eats. “Locals and visitors will soon have more options than ever at Crown Perth to grab a delicious and quick bite to eat, meet up with friends for dinner, or have a beer before or after the footy,” Pereira remarked, emphasizing the District's dual appeal to everyday visitors and footy crowds.

Construction has officially begun, with local firm Hoskins awarded the build contract, creating around 150 jobs during the build phase and further employment across operations post-launch. Strategically located just steps from Optus Stadium and next to Crown Theatre, the District is slated to open by the end of March 2026, timed to capture traffic from events and weekend late-night crowds. Expect DJs pumping up the energy for post-game and post-show socialising under the Perth sky.

Beyond the Food District, Crown Perth will also unveil a luxury wine bar nestled between Crown Towers and Metropol hotels, highlighting the best of Western Australia’s wine regions alongside renowned global vintages. Positioned as a sophisticated pre-theatre destination, it underscores Crown’s commitment to enriching its hospitality landscape.

This initiative is the first phase of a broader multi-stage revitalisation effort scheduled over the next 2–3 years. It follows Crown’s recent non-gaming investments: Melbourne’s Marmont restaurant, the expansion of The Palms Theatre, and Sydney’s Golden Century restaurant. These efforts, driven by new U.S. owners Blackstone, come on the heels of license reinstatement by the WA government—bringing renewed confidence and a pivot toward diversified guest experiences.

For Perth locals and travellers alike, the Urban Food District promises an engaging, vibrant hub offering an irresistible mix of global cuisine, craft drinks, live entertainment, and laid-back social spaces. More than just a facelift, it signals a cultural shift at Crown—one that embraces community, enjoyment, and lifestyle as key pillars of its rejuvenation. As this dining destination comes to life, expect Crown Perth to sparkle not just with chips and tables, but with flavour, vibe, and a fresh beat for a new era.
