MGM China has announced it will grant a one-month discretionary bonus to eligible team members in Macau, with payments to be made ahead of the Lunar New Year. The bonus applies to the majority of employees at MGM China Holdings, in line with established industry practice among Macau’s concessionaires at the start of each year, and reflects the company’s recognition of staff contributions during 2025.
Commenting on the announcement, Pansy Ho, Chairperson and Executive Director of MGM China Holdings Limited, said: “Reflecting on 2025, we carried forward the momentum of a new chapter by continuously optimizing our innovative products and service experiences, achieving steady progress in our business development – all thanks to the dedication and hard work of our team.” Her remarks underscore the operator’s view that workforce commitment has been central to its operational stability and service standards over the past year.
Looking forward, Ms Ho added that MGM would continue to build on its competitive strengths with a clear focus on guest experience. “Looking ahead, MGM will continue to leverage its core strengths with an unwavering focus on our guests. Guided by the philosophy of ‘Originality + Innovation’, we remain dedicated to contributing to Macau’s positioning as a world-class tourism and leisure hub through the ongoing introduction of more diversified tourism offerings.” The statement aligns MGM’s staff incentive programme with its longer-term strategic positioning in Macau.

MGM China’s bonus announcement comes alongside similar disclosures from other major operators, including Melco Resorts & Entertainment and Wynn Macau, highlighting an industry-wide trend of rewarding employees as gaming revenues stabilise. Analysts note that such measures not only boost morale but also signal cautious confidence in Macau’s tourism and gaming outlook for 2026.
