Vietnam’s Phu Quoc island will gain another direct air connection to Singapore when Sun PhuQuoc Airways launches daily flights on 25 July 2026.
The new service is expected to make the island more accessible to Singapore residents and international travellers connecting through Changi Airport.
Better Access to Phu Quoc
Sun PhuQuoc Airways will operate one round-trip flight each day between Phu Quoc and Singapore.
As a full-service airline, it gives travellers another option beyond the low-cost carriers already serving the route.
Improved air connectivity is important because tourists are more likely to choose destinations that are convenient to reach, especially for short holidays and weekend trips.
Supporting Casino and Resort Tourism
Phu Quoc has developed into a major resort destination offering beaches, luxury hotels, entertainment attractions and Corona Casino.

The new flight could bring more international visitors to the island’s hotels, restaurants, attractions and gaming facilities.
For Corona Casino and nearby resorts, more flights mean a larger potential customer market and more opportunities to create travel packages for Singapore-based visitors.
The Marketing Opportunity
Hotels and tourism operators should not promote the flight alone. They should create complete travel experiences combining accommodation, dining, entertainment, island tours and casino visits.

Digital campaigns can target different customer groups, including couples, families, premium travellers and short-break visitors.
Simple booking pages, multilingual content and bundled packages will help convert the improved connectivity into actual tourism revenue.

Final Takeaway
The new Singapore–Phu Quoc service is more than an additional flight.
It strengthens Phu Quoc’s position as an accessible regional tourism and entertainment destination while supporting the island’s wider resort and casino economy.
The next step for local operators is to turn better connectivity into memorable experiences that encourage visitors to stay longer and spend across the destination.
