SJM Resorts has confirmed that it will increase salaries for its eligible team members starting 1 April 2026 as a reward for their contributions throughout 2025. According to an internal notice shared with staff, the salary adjustment applies to employees hired before 1 January 2026, with those earning a monthly base salary of MOP 16,000 (approximately US $2,000) or less receiving a MOP 500 (about US 62.50) raise. Employees earning above that threshold will receive a 2 % increase to their monthly pay.
In the announcement, SJM Executive Director Daisy Ho expressed the company’s gratitude for the hard work and dedication of its workforce, emphasizing the importance of continued teamwork and innovation in pushing the company forward. The salary raise is part of broader efforts by Macau casino operators to recognize staff performance and sustain morale, alongside similar moves by peers in the region.

SJM also reaffirmed its earlier decision to give employees a one-month discretionary bonus to be paid on 30 January 2026, further acknowledging team members’ efforts over the past year. This mirrors a wider trend across Macau’s gaming industry, where operators including MGM China, Sands China, Wynn Macau, Galaxy Entertainment Group and Melco Resorts have also announced salary increases and bonuses for their staff for 2026, usually involving a flat MOP 500 raise for lower-paid employees and around 2 % for higher salaries.
The series of pay adjustments reflects both strong operational performance across the region and competitive labour market pressures as Macau’s gaming sector continues its post-pandemic recovery, aiming to retain talent and reward employee contributions amid evolving business conditions.
