Hann Casino Resort has formally appointed PhilWeb Corporation—a Philippine-listed eGames provider—to operate and manage its regulated online gaming platform under a new strategic partnership disclosed in a filing to the Philippine Stock Exchange. Under the agreement, PhilWeb will deliver both technical and operational support aimed at ensuring the online platform complies with regulatory requirements and functions efficiently, drawing on PhilWeb’s extensive experience in the local gaming market.

While PhilWeb will handle much of the back-end operations and technology infrastructure for the platform often referred to as Hann Live Online, Hann Casino Resort will retain oversight of governance, regulatory compliance, and responsible gaming standards, ensuring adherence to Philippine rules and industry best practices. This division of responsibilities allows Hann to focus on strategic business management while leveraging PhilWeb’s specialized capabilities.

The move aligns with broader trends in the Philippines’ regulated online gaming space, where licensed operators increasingly partner with established technology providers to scale their digital offerings. Hann’s collaboration with PhilWeb follows its obtaining a Philippine Inland Gaming Operator (PIGO) licence, enabling it to legally operate regulated online gaming services within the country.

PhilWeb’s involvement comes as it continues repositioning itself as a technology and service provider in the gaming sector, moving beyond its historic role operating e-Games outlets and focusing more on software and platform services for licensed operators. The partnership is expected to enhance the overall player experience, system performance, and operational efficiency of Hann’s digital gaming business.

Hann Casino Resort, located in the Clark Freeport Zone, Pampanga, has been expanding both its land-based and online footprint, with recent casino floor expansions and plans to broaden its integrated resort offerings. Strengthening its regulated online presence via this tie-up is seen as a strategic effort to capture additional market share in the Philippines’ growing digital gaming segment.

The regulatory backdrop for this announcement includes the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation’s PIGO regime, under which multiple online gaming platforms and service providers have been licensed to operate, highlighting the continued evolution and formalization of the country’s online gambling industry.
