Travellers International, together with Suntrust Resort Holdings, has confirmed that they will need an additional US$450 million to complete the Westside City integrated resort project in Parañaque, Manila. The total development cost is about US$1.25 billion, and the project is roughly 70% finished. They now target a phased opening in the third quarter of 2026.

Part of this arrangement involves a shift in ownership/control structure. Travellers International has taken a lead role in the project while Suntrust has reduced its effective direct stake: after Suntrust subscribed to shares in Westside Bayshore Holding Corporation, it now holds an indirect 20% interest in the entity (Entertainment City Resorts Corp.) that will handle operations. Meanwhile, Travellers (under Alliance Global) assumes the greater burden of ensuring the project meets its targets.

The Westside City resort is planned to be a flagship integrated resort aiming for high-end appeal. Its features will include over 2,500 hotel rooms across three brands, some 2,000+ gaming machines and tables, entertainment venues including theater districts (Apollo Theater, Grand Opera House), a curated mix of restaurants and lifestyle destinations, etc. The developers are positioning it as a next-level product in Manila’s tourism and gaming scene—drawing comparisons to such global benchmarks as Marina Bay Sands or the offerings in Macau.
