Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG) has just renewed a three-year strategic cooperation agreement with Damai Entertainment (an Alibaba-affiliated ticketing and live-events arm) and Macau Pass to further deepen their collaboration in ticketing, marketing, and cultural programming in Macau. Under the renewed deal, the partners will co-host a variety of events — from concerts, musicals, stage plays, immersive theatre, exhibitions to sporting events — and they intend to integrate membership systems and bolster hardware and software infrastructure for ticketing systems.

Damai — known for its ticketing operations in mainland China — will continue to support Galaxy Macau’s ticketing backend, while assisting Macau Pass to upgrade its systems for better scalability and resilience. The agreement also signals a push toward cross-platform synergy, with shared membership privileges and marketing initiatives to strengthen consumer engagement across the Galaxy / Damai / Macau Pass ecosystem.

This extension builds on an earlier partnership launched in 2023. That collaboration resulted in the deployment of Damai’s MAITIX International Edition for Galaxy Arena, touted as one of the first large-scale international ticketing platform applications outside mainland China. Beyond ticketing, Galaxy has also signaled ambition in the broader cultural space: in May 2025, it inked a deal with Damai to help develop a performing arts hub in the Greater Bay Area, aiming to integrate content, talent, venues across Macau, Hong Kong and the Chinese mainland.

The renewed pact is timely. Macau’s gaming operators have committed to expanding non-gaming offerings under their new concession terms, with sizable capital earmarked for entertainment, culture, and events. As Macau seeks to diversify its tourism and entertainment appeal beyond casinos, robust partnerships in ticketing and content delivery become a key part of the playbook.
