Resorts World Sentosa (RWS), in collaboration with Marriott International, has officially opened The Laurus, a Luxury Collection Resort — Singapore’s first property under the Luxury Collection banner. This new all-suite sanctuary, situated within the lush environs of Sentosa, marks a bold move in Singapore’s luxury hospitality scene, combining refined elegance with immersive local touches.

Designed as a boutique enclave rather than a sprawling resort, The Laurus houses 183 suites across five storeys, each thoughtfully crafted to evoke the feel of a well-collected home. The design draws from colonial-era motifs and tropical elegance — you’ll find open verandas, artisanal local materials, and a signature chandelier inspired by laurel leaves installed in the lobby. Suites begin at around 72 sqm and feature high-end finishes, curated artwork and touches that nod to Singapore’s heritage.
Beyond its luxurious lodgings, The Laurus offers a compact but rich array of amenities: landscaped gardens, a tranquil outdoor pool, spa, a signature all-day dining concept, and flexible event or meeting spaces for more intimate occasions. Although it does not house its own casino, it is well integrated into the RWS ecosystem — guests can access Resorts World Sentosa’s attractions, including Universal Studios Singapore and the casino, which lie within walking distance.
The opening of The Laurus is not just a hotel launch — it is a strategic evolution in RWS’s vision to elevate its positioning in the high end of the hospitality market. For Marriott, it represents the brand’s Singapore debut and strengthens its Luxury Collection’s footprint in Asia. The Laurus aims to attract discriminating travelers who value intimacy, authenticity and design — a contrast to large-scale resort properties — and further differentiates RWS’s hospitality portfolio.
