Wynn Resorts has announced a new joint venture to develop Janu Al Marjan Island, a luxury hotel and branded residences project located directly beside its under-construction integrated resort on Ras Al Khaimah’s Al Marjan Island. The project is being developed in partnership with Marjan LLC, the island’s master developer, and Aman Group, which will bring its contemporary lifestyle brand Janu to the UAE for the first time. The announcement underscores Wynn’s long-term vision of transforming Al Marjan Island into a premier international luxury and entertainment destination.
The new Janu Al Marjan Island will occupy a “land bank” adjacent to Wynn’s upcoming integrated resort — itself slated to feature the Middle East’s first regulated gaming area. The Janu project will complement Wynn’s offering by targeting affluent leisure and wellness travelers, broadening the appeal of the entire island precinct. Wynn executives noted that developing an adjoining property under a distinct yet synergistic brand like Janu allows the group to extend its luxury footprint while diversifying its non-gaming revenue streams.
The Janu Al Marjan Island will feature a boutique hotel with around 132 rooms and suites, an extensive wellness center including a hammam, banya, yoga pavilion, and private beach club, along with nightlife and dining spaces curated for global luxury consumers. The project will also include a residential tower offering one- to five-bedroom branded residences, as well as limited-edition villas with private pools and panoramic sea views.
Industry analysts view the move as a signal of Wynn’s confidence in Ras Al Khaimah’s growth trajectory. The emirate is positioning itself as a new hub for high-end hospitality and leisure in the Gulf, with the Wynn Al Marjan Island resort serving as its anchor. Adding the Janu brand brings another global name into the mix and enhances the destination’s appeal for both tourists and investors seeking premium real estate opportunities. The collaboration between Wynn, Marjan, and Aman Group is expected to generate thousands of new jobs and contribute to Ras Al Khaimah’s long-term tourism strategy.
Once completed, Janu Al Marjan Island will join Wynn’s flagship resort in forming a cohesive luxury corridor on the island, combining gaming, wellness, and lifestyle elements rarely seen in the region. Together, the two developments are projected to redefine Ras Al Khaimah’s reputation from a quiet emirate to a vibrant international destination comparable to Las Vegas or Macau in scale but with a Middle Eastern flair. The Janu project is being hailed as “the perfect neighbor” to Wynn’s integrated resort — a pairing that blends opulence with serenity and reflects the evolving future of destination-driven hospitality in the Gulf.
